Global Recognition and University Acceptance
Cambridge International AS & A Levels are accepted and valued by leading universities worldwide, including those in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe. Many universities, including those in the Ivy League, explicitly welcome Cambridge students and recognize the rigorous preparation our qualifications provide. Cambridge IGCSE is recognized as equivalent to national qualifications in many countries and is accepted for entry into further education.
Developing Essential Skills for Success
Cambridge programmes go beyond academic knowledge. They develop essential skills that students need to succeed in the 21st century, including critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Our curriculum encourages students to be confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged – qualities that universities and employers value highly.
Fair and Reliable Assessment
Cambridge assessments are designed to be fair, valid, and reliable. They use a variety of assessment methods including written examinations, coursework, oral tests, and practical assessments. This ensures that students can demonstrate their knowledge and skills in different ways. All Cambridge examinations are externally marked by trained examiners, ensuring consistency and fairness across the world.
Flexibility and Choice
Cambridge offers a wide range of subjects at IGCSE and A Level, allowing students to choose subjects that match their interests, abilities, and future aspirations. Students can combine subjects in ways that suit their individual learning journey, whether they're interested in sciences, humanities, languages, or creative arts. This flexibility helps students develop a well-rounded education while pursuing their passions.
Continuous Professional Development
Cambridge provides extensive support for teachers through professional development courses, online resources, and a global community of educators. Our teachers regularly participate in Cambridge training to stay current with best practices in teaching and assessment. This ensures that BIS students receive instruction that meets the highest international standards.
